In today's digital world, fast and reliable internet has become a basic utility whether setting up a cozy home office in Kilimani or managing a growing business in Upper Hill.
Why Broadband?

Broadband provides high-speed internet using telephone lines (DSL/ADSL), fiber optics, or wireless connections. In Kenya, DSL and fiber have become common in urban and peri-urban areas, enabling everything from streaming and virtual meetings to powering point-of-sale systems and smart devices.

Before anything else, contact a licensed Internet Service Provider (ISP)—like Veenet Africa. We offer dedicated and shared broadband packages to suit different needs:
- Residential: Smooth streaming, smart home support, remote work.
- Commercial: High-speed, secure, and scalable for multiple users or branches.
Bonus: Veenet Africa offers on-site consultation and site surveys across major Kenyan towns.

Step 3: Setting Up the System.

.
1. Connect the ADSL Splitter
Unplug your landline from the wall socket. Insert the ADSL splitter into the socket. This separates digital (internet) signals from analog (phone) signals.
2. Connect Your Phone
Plug your landline into the port on the splitter labeled “Tel”. This allows voice calls without interfering with your internet.
3. Connect the Modem/Router
Using the provided telephone cable, connect the DSL port on the splitter to the DSL port on the router. This establishes your internet link.
4. Connect Your Device
Take the Ethernet cable and plug it into one of the LAN ports on the modem/router. Plug the other end into your computer or laptop. This gives a stable wired connectionideal for workstations or business systems.
5. Power Up
Connect the router’s power adapter to an outlet and switch it on. The lights will blink, then stabilize confirming it’s connected to the broadband signal.
Note: Veenet offers both plug-and-play and technician-assisted installation for added peace of mind

Kenyan Dynamics to Consider
- Power Outages: Invest in a UPS to protect your router from power surges and downtime.
- Building Infrastructure: In high-rise buildings, fiber installation may be more reliable than DSL. Veenet Africa advises landlords and developers on the best setup.
- Expansion: For businesses in malls, schools, or multi-tenant offices, we offer scalable broadband packages and dedicated support.
- Always filter your other landline extensions to avoid noise interference.
- For Wi-Fi, position your router centrally for better coverage especially in maisonettes or multi-floor offices.
- Contact Veenet.africa support if lights on your router aren’t steady after boot-up.
